In 2008 the voters from District 16 elected me, a Democrat, to the Idaho State House of Representatives and gave me a rare opportunity to participate directly in the legislative process. I have enjoyed my time in the Idaho Legislature and it has been an honor to serve the residents of my district in this capacity.
I currently serve on the State Affairs Committee, the Commerce and Human Resources Committee and the Local Government Committee.

I am also a member of the Garden City - City Council. I was first elected in 2005 and re-elected in 2009. I have served as Council President, Co-Chair of the Parks & Waterways Committee and Advisor to the Arts Commission.
I am running for re-election 2010 because I want to ensure that all Idahoans have a voice at the table when decisions are made in the Legislature. We will have many issues to resolve in the next few years. As your State Representative, I will work to make certain that our government addresses the state's most critical needs and does so efficiently and effectively. In just one year, I have built a strong legislative record of protecting the interests of Idahoans.
I am an inclusive consensus builder who believes that all sides of an issue should be explored and citizens heard before making a final decision on important issues that impact our lives and the future of our Great State of Idaho.
With the 2010 legislative session in full swing, it is clear that much remains to be done. We face countless unmet needs that only a politically balanced Legislature can achieve.
